Hardware/Firmware Engineer

Position Summary:

We are looking for hackers and those with extreme passion for building real things. You must be interested in solving complex yet interesting problems using hardware/firmware. We expect you to be a Generalist role, able to research, design and build the electronics used within new and novel wearable sensing prototypes and products. Responsibilities:

1) You’ll be involved in the entire R&D process. Analysis and feasibility studies related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware, firmware and algorithm design leading to next generation products.

2) Assist in the development and execution of rapid “design-build-test” iterative development cycles, from concept to pre-production phases, to validate potential product design ideas to all applicable product requirements.


Qualifications:

1) Knowledge of microcontroller-based C/C++ development with complex system architecture/design.

2) Out-of-the-box thinking with an enthusiasm for getting your hands dirty with analog and digital embedded hardware.

3) Experience with relevant technologies, such as Bluetooth Smart, GPS, analog and digital MEMs sensors, signal conditioning circuits, ultra-low power / small footprint design.

4) Analog circuit theory and design background with proficiency using schematic capture and circuit simulation design tools.

5) Excellent debugging and troubleshooting ability.

6) Prior coursework in electromagnetics, antennas and microwave design, analog circuit design, or DC power system design would be helpful.
